The Northwest SPCA is investigating an act of cruelty to a puppy that occurred Thursday, November 3rd, late afternoon or early evening. She was found by a good Samaritan at the top of the hill off Table Mountain Blvd, north of the Fish Hatchery in Oroville. She sustained severe burns, 2nd and 3rd degree, and blunt force trauma. We are asking for your help to help catch whoever inflicted her injuries. The suspect is believed to be male, in his late teens to early 20s, very slender build, about 6 feet tall with a dark complexion and dark, medium length wavy hair. He was wearing a shirt that appeared to have red, blue and yellow thin, horizontal stripes and blue pants.
We have set up a crime hotline for information regarding the suspect or event. Please call 530-353-1099 or Oroville Police Department, Officer Hutton at 530-538-2448.
This puppy is going to have a long road ahead of her to heal from the extensive burns. We would greatly appreciate any donations to help in her medical care. Treatments will likely take weeks or months for her to heal completely.
We are not asking for potential adopters at this time. We will keep you posted on her progress and recovery.
